"**Unexpectedly Crashed Opening Day - and They Nailed It!** We stumbled upon the new bar's very first day, and wow, did they ever get slammed! Despite the unexpected chaos on their opening day, the team handled it like absolute pros. The food was great – fresh and delicious. Beyond that, the service was incredibly friendly and personable, even with everything going on. The owner even took the time to stop by our table and chat, and she was a truly lovely woman. The environment was fantastic and it's clear they've created a welcoming space. Wishing the owner and the whole team the very best in this new endeavor. We'll definitely be back."

"This bar and restaurant is an absolute gem! The chicken wings are incredibly delicious, especially with their in-house sauces — the Sweet Heat sauce is a must-try and easily one of the best I’ve had. I had the chance to speak with the chef, and she was so bubbly and welcoming. You can really feel the passion she puts into her food, and it shows in every bite. The front-of-house staff were very friendly and attentive. On top of the food and service, the ambiance was fantastic; warm, inviting, and the perfect balance between lively and relaxed. It’s a great spot whether you’re hanging out with friends or just enjoying a nice meal. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome meal!"

"Backroads Bar and Grill in Cookstown is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is top-notch, and the food is unreal. If you’re into wings, do not miss the hot cajun chicken wings. Honestly, some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Great vibes, great eats, and the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again."

"Came here to see the Jays game and had some awesome food. One issue is its pretty expensive. 5 small jalapeno bites for $16.00 is wild. My souvlaki wrap was great minus the lack of chicken but the greek platter had one small skewer of chicken but a reasonable size of salad and rice. If it had one more skewer or two, it would be worth the price. In the end we had those foods plus one pound of wings and before the tip this was about $96-98 (i cant remember the exact amount oops). I think that is pretty wild because we ordered wings simply because our food was just not enough to not be hungry. Its a great place it jut needs a couple small tweaks to the food to be worth the price. Otherwise, amazing"
